Redan enjoyed a promising three season stint in the Victorian Women's Football League. Commencing in Division Two in 2014 the Lions did well to qualify for the finals, finishing fourth, and a year later they went one better by getting as far as the preliminary final. The 2016 season saw the VWFL undergoing a restructuring exercise which saw Redan continuing in the competition's second tier, albeit that this was now known as Division One. After a slow start the team performed competitively without quite managing to qualify for the finals. A more drastic restructuring exercise in 2017 saw the disbanding of the VCFL and its replacement with a number of regional leagues. The Lions were assigned to AFL Goldfields in which they fielded teams in both Division One and Division Two. The Division One side enjoyed an excellent season culminating in a grand final clash with North Geelong. Sadly, this was lost, but amends would swiftly be made. The 2018 season saw the competition revamped as a single division and Redan once again made the grand final. Opposed by East Point, the Lions were much the better side for three quarters but then had to hang on for dear life during a final term which saw them fail entirely to trouble the scorers whilst their opponents added 2.2. In the end this was not enough to alter the result, however, and Redan edged home by 5 points, 3.8 (26) to 3.3 (21).
